Okay!! Day motherfucking one! Yee haw! Back in Europe, back in France!! Kick ass show in Strasbourg. Stellar audience! The Supersuckers rock, but have to cut their set short so Dan Bolton can go back to the airport to go through customs to get his luggage that the airline has lost. You would think the rock gods had their fun? No! We fall asleep on the bus to the whiskey laden dreams that is our vocation only to be awoken to the tune of 'FIRE!!! Everyone grab your passports and get off the bus!' We follow suit. Stood on the side of the road, somewhere between France and Switzerland watching the billows of smoke churn out the rear end of our fancy new bus. Luckily there was no actual flames, but enough smoking to cause us to stop tout de suit! A tourist bus full of children stopped for our sorry asses and kindly decided to drive us as far as the Swiss border where now, we wait. For what? We don't really know. A new bus has been dispached to transport our gear and hopefully pick us up as well, untill then Nashville Pussy has taken up residence at the French/Swiss border and will be sleeping on the curb until we are admited into the country, with guitars and vehicle. We remain, rocking, though mostly in spirit. A slightly smoke scented spirit, but rocking none the less! Excelsior!
At least the coffee and the company is good even if it is 5am dark, and busless. Hopefully tomorrow will be kinder.
Love and rock!

We are at the gig, new 'apology' bus coming with our merch and is currently stopped at the border about an hour and a half away. But we have our gear and our health and our awesome attitude! What caught on fire was actually the fucking motor so it's a good thing we got out when we did. All is fair in love and rock and roll.

One From the Road
Hello babies!!! We are one hour away from the stage here in Paris. The Supersuckers should be going on any second now. So far so good. We got into Paris fine, easy flight then got promptly pulled over by Les Flics for driving a van painted flat black, evidently a non non en Paris. Once on our way we slept the first 12 hours easily.
Gibson has loaned us three new guitars 2 Les Paula and 1 SG. Ludwig has loaned Jeremy a flashy new kit. I'm rocking some cool new pants and we're playing at least 6 new songs. We're traveling in a smaller bus, the 'short bus' as we call it. Pretty styling, DVD players in every bunk and a hard drive with 200 glorious time wasters or movies you may call them. We have a new crew too, three Brits and a Canuck to keep me company. They all seem real hung ho.
Today we did a shitload of interviews, including Rock Hard, Extreme Guitar and BatteriƩ, the drum magazine. We also did an TV interview that 2 million people will watch to promote our French tour in April.
...
Okay, hours have past, the show is over. First show on tour , SOLD OUT!!! 900 people!! What can we say, Paris fucking rocks. The audience was outstanding, totally on fire. Belgium tomorrow. I only hope they can keep up. France hit a high water mark.

Canuck Blog
So, we are three glorious day into our Canadian tour and it has already been fanfuckingtastic. The weather is perfect, the leaves are all turning crazy colours and the snow deprived Canadians are ready to explode with pent up adrenaline.
We had a handful of gigs in the states to bring us up here. Got to play 'Nutbush' with Miss Georgia Peach singing and Mr. Travis 'Ramo' Ramin on guitar in Minneapolis. Georgia and Blaine had a sexy screaming contest on stage. Hung out with our old sound guy Tim Mac. It was really heartwarming to catch up with some people who've known us since the beginning.
After the kindly border crossing allowed ALL of us in (thankyouthankyouthankyou) we took the ferry to Victoria where for the first timie in my life of taking that same ferry we saw whales!! There were like 7 Orcas around the boat feeding off Crabpots planted deep down. What a moment!
At the club I had instantly what can only be described as a typical Canadian experience. I met some cute little Island chick who we'd met years earlier in Toronto. Jeremy had snuck her in when she was underage. Now she was tanning hides to turn into drums on Saltspring island. She brought me some talismans for the road, an antique bottle with 1,000 year old Ojibway tobacco seeds in it, a buffalo tooth and 4 pennies squished by a train. Why that was typical I don t know, but it was a perfect moment And a touching beginning to the night. The show was great. Jesus Bonehead from the Dayglo Abortions brought us all schwag and an old lover turned up with a bunch of cool canadian redneck shirts for Blaine.
Vancouver always kicks ass. We did a retarted interview on CFOX and they actually played Nashville Pussy on the FOX!! I grew up listening to that station so to finally be on it is a sign that ROCK is ALIVE!!! Turns out everyone heard the 'interview' so we had a serioulsy packed house. My mom and dad included.
We met a shotputter who is qualifying for the 2012 olympic games in Vancouver and wants our version of 'Rock n Roll Outlaw' for his theme song. And no, one arm wasn't way bigger than the other.
A bunch of high school buddies of mine came out to party like no time had passed at all. We wound up at a late night chinese restaurant where they sneak you beer in a teapot after all the bars close. The code word is 'cold tea'. I ordered a whiskey too. And no code word was needed. Bad girls reunited, felt good.
Last night was Nelson. And as usual Nelson is fucking nuts. We heard the winner of the Cannibus Cup was grown here so we practiced up on our judging in case we get called off to Amsterdam to perform our duty in the area of expertice. You gotta stay sharp.
The show was nuts, there are a shitload of hot chicks in this crazy little burg. And they were going fucking bonkers in the audience. Gordie Johnston from Grady played harp on 'Lazy Jesus' with us and the audience loved it. We played at least 4 'one more song's right until they turned the house lights on and retired to the streets and house parties.
Right now we are off for more serpentine roads climbing through the mountains and more Pussy hungry Canucks.
See y'all down the road

Wacken Open Air Festival!!
Hey y'all, we are en route out of Germany and back to France. Tonight we play a small festival of 3500 in a town named Selestat with the Entombed from Sweden and Mass Hysteria from France.
Last night was our first time at the famous W.O.A. Where once a year it seems 100,000 Metalheads converge from all around the world upon the little town of Wacken and turn in into a well oiled metal machine for the 3-4 days. The festival has been active since the 90's and last night was the biggest ever. It was sold out a month ago at around 90 thousand for the weekend. Each paying 100 euros including camping.
We hit the 'Party' stage around 5 after doing some interviews with various international .com magazines and shows. I have no idea how many people were there for us but let's just say it was very healthy. Jean Luc said we might have played for 15,000. Hard to tell you know? Nothing quite like the audience chanting your name to get you going, and go, we did!! It's was rocking and fucking hot too, hot sun beating down on us. Karen got a little sunburnt even. The crowd was great for us, felt great- lots of fans made it from al over the world to see us and we met people from France, Portugal, Brazil, Australia and Japan!
We got to meet and watch Girlschool which was a first, they used to open up and pal around with Motorhead back in the day.
After our show we got to watch one of the most fun bands we've seen in forever: Airborne from Australia. They were super rocking Ac Dc style pub rock but for a HUGE crowd. They are young, long haired and cute, jumping all over the stage in a sea of fog. Fucking great, really impressive and the audience went nuts for them. We really only watched the two rock acts Airborne and Girls School who we met backstage and did and Metal Hammer interview with where they played us songs and we were supposed to recognize them. I can barely repeat the band names we heard but I am proud to have recognized the only cool band they played, Deep Purple. Luckily Jackie and Enid were just as clueless as Karen and I. They were super cool and easy to get along with. Together we sat in front of the 'black stage' to watch the headliner IRON MAIDEN!!!!!!
There were SO MANY people there I can't begin to guess how many. All I know is Jeremy and Karen got trapped out amongst the people and Jeremy thought he was gonna have to get airlifted out by a helicopter with a ladder. He said it was like standing in line for 20 different rollercoasters only none of the lines are moving. And each ride is an hour and a half wait, the length of the concert. I didn't even venture out it was so overwhelming already with fans taking pictures while we're eating and stuff. Karen got to meet Steve Harris, Maiden's bassist but it was super brief, he din't exactly stick around to party.
Maiden was pretty great I have to say, they brought out a giant mummy style 'Eddie' monster from behind the stage and even had a guy in stilts walking around as an Eddie from the album 'somwhere in time' where Eddie is mostly skinless muscle and a future helmet with a laser eye! Spooky!! I was pretty chuffed! And still have. '666, the number of the beast' ringing in my ears!!
What a blast!

Hey ho!! We are finally back in Europe!! Even though Blaine and his Nine Pound Hammers were here in the same town just a mere month prior It's been at least a year for the Pussy since we disgraced this fabulous continent. It's already good to be back. Right now everyone has arrived in Antwerp from their many points of departure and we are rushing off to Amsterdam to pick up Jeremy's drums and stock up on some high test legal weed!
This tour we play a combination of big club gigs with the Reverend Horton Heat and a bunch of groovy festivals by ourselves including the Wakken Open Air fest with Iron Fucking Maiden!! It will be our second show ever with them, hopefully their guitarist won't fall off the stage during 'Number of the Beast' again and end the show like last time.
The second gig of the tour is at Amsterdam's Melkweg which is already looking dangerous because it seems like half of our worldly friend are flying in for the show, it should prove to be retarted. I don't know why we get treated with that town at the beginning of a tour. That should be the reward for a job well done. Thankfully we end in an equally fun town, London, at the good old Astoria where the ceiling was lit on fire last time we played. The entire capacity crowd was asked to vacate, pint glasses in hand, for an hour until the fire department declared it 'safe for rocking'. At which point every last person filed back in to do just that, and get a fresh pint as well by then. This time I'm sure we can rock without the fire department's ' intermission'.
The Rev hasn't played over here in at least 8 years we've been told so it should be an eye opener for them to get off our continent for a change. As much as I love touring the US and Canada, I do crave a good cup of coffee which even the shittiest of truckstops can deliver almost anywhere here. Nevermind the cheese and the beer and the weed!!
Wish us luck and we'll see ya'll down the road!!
P.s. Our buddy Hale is selling off some very interesting Nashville Pussy memorabilia at his website noisenoisenoise.com. Check it out all the money goes straight to the newly founded Gas fund we've started. Evidently cheap gas is a endangered species now so we're going hybrid. Our new van will run on bald eagle heads and cocaine to save money.

GO NORTH young band!!
Hey ho everyone! We have been on this latest tour for a few weeks now, starting down the barrel of the last weeks worth and it has been really good.
This has ben a tour of invitations and tours so far. We started in Cleveland at the House of Blues with the Rev before we hopped the border into my glorious homeland for a weeks worth of Canuck shows. H.O.B. As usual was fantastic and we were cordially invited to peruse the Rock n Roll hall of fame to see the latest exhibits. They had a baseball exhibit which sounds kinda funny but not if you consider all the crossover -- even we try to get to as many games as we can.
After the border crossing we played two Toronto shows and I got to hang out with some cousins Jennifer and Jonathan whom I hadn't seen in years. That same night I met this super cool dude Stefan, a horror movie actor and voiceover dude who I just picked out of the crowd because he was so cool looking. Turns out he was in Silent Hill and Resident Evil. He has the coolest job ever and has even gotten to write his own death! One day he did the voice of god in the morning and the voice of the devil in the afternoon. One day I'd like to follow in his footsteps. Be some kind of voice for anything, maybe a puppy!
We did a Ottawa show and stocked up on Poutine, the only truly Canadian food! So very delicious at 3 am eating out of a styrofoam cup with a plastic trident. Quebec City was great and Montreal even better cause we went to Schwartz' Smoked Meat!!! We played the night the Montreal Canadiens lost to Philly in the Stanley Cup playoffs and the city was prepared for the worst. There were probably four cops on every single block geting ready for a riot. Last game 20 cars were lit on fire including a bunch of cop cars.
All the Canadian gigs were played with GRADY as the opening slot. The band is based out of Austin but they're all Canadians. Gordie was the engineer on our latest record and will begin mixing on it as soon as their tour is over. Being familiar with the newest songs we got Gordie to come out and play harp with us every night on our latest hit song 'Lazy Jesus'. A crowd-pleasing favorite!
Once back in the states we met the new opening band, Backyard Tire Fire. All cool dudes who are totally fitting in with ease. It helps to dig weed and baseball even more than Blaine. After knowing them one day Blaine drove with them to Cooperstown to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. The highlight was seeing Babe Ruth's bat. He looks just like Jimbo!
In Baltimore we got invited to visit Duff and his crew at Charm City Cakes. Talk about cool! Mary Alice was awesome and they hooked us up with a bunch of cool 'Baked in Baltimore' schwag and a shitload of CAKE!! Travis sold merch that night wearing JUST his charm city apron. Being the total Food Network geek that I am, it was super cool.
Right now we are in the van driving all the way to Dallas from Bloomington, Indiana. Last night we had a suprise visit from our old roadie and good buddy Pat Nyffler. He's a full-time dad to a 4 year old girl named Lucy and doesn't look at all like a roadie anymore!
Hopefully we'll hit Interstate bar b que in Memphis in a few hours. Our bbq levels are dipping dangerously low. Plus we haven't had bbq spaghetti in some months now. We had delivery of some awesome Mutton from Owensboro but no one got their fill.
We'll be in Austin in a few days, Gary Lindsey's blues band is opening for us. That is going to be a hell of a night -- our buddy Chief is throwing a party at Emo's as well called Cheifest with the New Bomb Turks playing so hopefully we can catch some of their show also.
Nine Pound Hammer play next week in Lexington so Blaine and I will have approx. ONE day in our house before we gotta take off again, then he's off to Europe with the Hammers for three weeks, then we meet in Salt Lake City!!! More Rev and as long last we play again with the SUPERSUCKERS!!!! Should be a ball.
Rock on!

WILLIE NELSON FOR PRESIDENT!
Okay- topper of all toppers, AFTER having FINISHED recording what is perhaps the greatest rock record of all time... or at least our time. The Nashville Pussies saunter over to Willie Nelson's old timey ghost town named LUCK, Texas. Which has been used for a buncha movies and videos with the provision that any movie using the property has to build ANOTHER fully functioning old timey building to add the town. Willie has his World Headquarters there which is basically an old timey two level building with a nice long wooden bar, poker tables, wood stove shoe shine seat and big screen tv and a stereo, oh and tons of trinkets of his travels. He has a wall that at a distance is merely and orange wall - then the closer you get you realize it's made up of a serious lifetime's collection of Orange ZigZag Boxes. We got permission to shoot some cool pictures with our buddy Judson who takes a helluva picture and drives a fucking cherry Roadrunner.
We shot a buncha beautiful pictures as the sun was setting, moseying down the gravel road with the chuch behind us,
hanging out in the Saloon and looking 'no good' around the bank and eventually posing in the Hoosegow.. or jail. As we were leaving we had seen Mr. Willie Nelson himself arrive to his HQ at the head of the main street in Luck. We could hear him cranking out some tunes and saw him serving from behind his bar to some buddies that dropped by. Obviously we all wanted in there, hang with Willie - so Judson knocked on the door and sadi thankyou for letting us shoot on the premises and Willie said 'No problem, y'all smoke?'
The rest, my dears, is history! I'll leave you with - there was no more tequila and our cheeks were sore from smiling. He is a class act all the way and it felt a little bit like leaving Heaven as we had to say good bye. Sitting in the Bar with Willie Nelson enjoying his generous 'company' etc. and listening to his playing a recording of 'Sitting on top of the world' was very apt and true and as we left town, even though we were literally 'out of Luck' it sure feels like a lot rubbed off.
ciao amigos!
