10 Years of Pussy!! WEST COAST TOUR

PUSSY POSSEEEEEEE!!!! Its Me! - Ruyter!! How the fuck are y'all? It has been forever since I have written in this Blahg.. Nashville Pussy has been having a blast - Touring the states hard with Valient Thorr was ridiculously fun and over the top rocking night after night. We got to hang out with some of our favorite fans across the Right half of the US, hitting ever swimming hole, pool and ocean we could find (including one late night ice filled kiddy pool - thanks Jason, Trey, Carrie, Stacy, Dolinger, and everyone else who did my hair, took us swimming, gave me lingerie and let us sleep in the best bed in the house!) - This Friday we get to take this traveling circus on the US Left Coast (Tour dates right here baby)  - with just a taste of Canada - just to make it interesting! We start in SanDeigo , Costa Mesa, Hollywood. SanJose, San Fran, Reno, Bend, Portland, Seattle, Whistler, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Salt Lake City, Ft Collins, Denver, Albuquerque, Tempe, and the reward? Las Vegas!

  Blaine has just finished his US acoustic tour and is ready to turn it back up to 11 with Nashville Pussy again... Him and Nine Pound Hammer/Kentucky Bridgeburners Guitarist Earl Crim did some 'hard' road time with the hilarious women of BIRDCLOUD.. You gotta check these chicks out if you get a chance.

   We designed a kickass PETE YOU! shirt for the tour and so far sweet Pete hasn't asked us to stop..

 Blaine and I just LOVE ol Charlie Hustle and I am so happy to have this new shirt out there telling the world that we just think he's tops... and he belongs in the baseball hall of fame once Bud kicks off.. Yeah- I know a little bout this.. just a little though- Don't ask me any more baseball questions please. Despite the Phillies/Braves rivalry the fine folk at rush order tees still hooked us up sooooo last minute with this mega custom job and cheesesteaks were enjoyed by all!! Pete You!! shirts WILL be available on this tour. They came through big time and deserve the mention.
   TURKEY DAY approaches and we are headed to none other than one of America's most fine upstanding gentleman home in Bisbee Arizona.. That right folks- Nashville Pussy is having Thanksfuckingiving with infamous comedian Doug Stanhope. If we live through that night to play the first show - it'll be a miracle in itself. If you don't know who Doug Stanhope is - He is one of the most deplorable human beings I have ever had the opportunity to admire from a safe distance.. he's up there with the members of Dick Delicious and The Tasty Testicles - myself included. 

His 'comedy' is scathing and horrific and his own wikipedia page describes him as "America's Most Depraved Man" needless to say Turkey Day will be regrettable as usual but not for the regular familial reasons. Oh Lord I hope we pray before we eat!

Summer in Hotlanta!!

Hey Everyone, How the hell are y'all? We are having a blast on our 'time off' here in Atlanta. It is just starting to get really fucking hot. 80-90 degrees if it doesn't rain. I've actually got my garden planted and Blaine and I have even made it to one Braves game so far. We got to see Unplugged/Unwigged Spinal Tap accoutic show at the Fox Theatre which was utterly historic.

  Blaine and I spent 10 days in Lexington KY recording the new NINE POUND HAMMER album. They recorded a bunch of country songs - Hammer style and Hammer songs-Country style. So far sounds excellent. I was even called off the bench to contribute some mandolin. We'll be back this summer to finish up. If you check wikipedia it says the new Hammer album is out already and has a hilarious title.. I ain't gonna tell you. But like Homer Simpson says to Bart, 'Don't worry about Wikipedia, we'll change it when we get home'. Regardless it will be out, but we'll have to finish it first.

  Also on our 'time off' I manged to play an accoutic gig with Mr. Eddie Spaghetti himself here in Atlanta's Gravity Pub in East ATL. Talk about an unexpected blast. We had so much fun and I actually managed to learn 9 songs for the gig. The show sold out  and the audience was on fire. One of the locals closed the show by eating lightbulbs and sword swallowing for the last standing drunks (most of us). It turned out the lightbulb eater and his wife were being filmed for their episode of Wife Swap!! I can't wait to see the show.

  We head back to France next week for two spectacular shows, both with none other than VOIVOD!! The first show is in Paris at the Nouveau Casino on the 18th and will be an 'intimate' affair. The next show is the opposite - at one of the biggest Rock Festivals in all France. HELLFEST in Clisson on the 19th with HEAVEN AND HELL headlining. If they are anything like they were when we saw them in Chicago, it will be a spectacular event, I hear 100,000 people come to the three day event.

  So last week, we're watching this movie called "I'm Through With White Girls' and there's this scene where a guy is buying vinyl records and trying to impress the woman at the store. She comments on his Thin Lizzy purchase and he says "I like Nashville Pussy too". Pretty damn cool. what can I say, the guy's got taste.

We Still Got A Long Way to Ho (Ho Ho!)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS All Y'all!! Nashville pussy Hits the road again TOMORROW! after an amzingly productive week writing new songs with none other than Mr Daniel Rey - who graced us with his presence for three glorious days here in the ATL before hitting the Xmas Circuit with Mz. Ronnie Spector. We had a ball and came up with some pretty impressive new stuff. Hopefully the audiences in the next week will be so kind as to let us try some of them out.
Unfortunate news, Mr Shelton Williams AKA Hank III/ASSJACK - won't be joining this tour as previously announced. we just found out yesterday that he'd had to pull out of this tour but hopefully that will pave the way for the Truly Unholy Union of NASHVILLEPUSSYHANKIII tour down the line, coz now they owe us cuz!
With or without- the Pussies will be doing the glorious trek across this fine country to celebrate Xmas in no less than the finest Cracker Barrels this nation has to offer. Our first show is in San Franciski on the 26th and the tour goes until the 17th in Dallas with the Reverend Horton Heat. Then we have our own headlining celebration gig in Austin TX at EMO's. Should be a blast as always.
Blaine and Nine Pound Hammer just got back from a few gigs in France and Holland including the amazing SPEEDFEST with Peter Pan Speedrock - all reports have been stellar so far and I am fucking pissed I wasn't there. I finally watched the PETER PAN SPEEDROCK DVD out of jealousy and there are some classic Jeremy moments on there to say the least - most of the DVD is in Dutch but Jeremy is speaking one of those Universal languages that happen late at night... pretty funny stuff. Look out for a movie called Run Fat Boy Run - Hammer has a song in it - also look out for a movie called ALL HAT which uses the Pussies 'High as Hell'. I haven't seen either so if you have, let me know!!
